Where are MALIA products made?
Malia products are developed in Finland and manufactured in Grasse, France. MALIA candles are made of natural soy wax and they are hand-poured. We use natural cotton wicks. The candle measurements are 92mm*76mm and the approximate burn time is about 75 hours.
How do I maintain my MALIA candle?
Always trim the wick. We consider the perfect height to be about 5 mm. This will keep the candle flame from burning too high and smoky. Never move a burning candle and always keep the burning candle within sight. Never leave the candle close to children or pets and keep the burning candle on a steady solid surface.
ORDERS
Payment options
We accept debit and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or cash-on-delivery. All orders are processed through Stripe or ApplePay.
VAT – Value Added Tax
VAT is included in all pricing. Local sales tax, customs fees, tariffs or duties are not included in pricing and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Ordering
After an order is placed, an order confirmation email is sent to the email address provided during order placement. The order confirmation email includes the order number and all of the order details. Once an order confirmation is received it means your order is being processed and cannot be cancelled. A shipment confirmation email is sent once the order ships.
SHIPPING
Shipping and transit
Orders are shipped and delivered via DPD and domestic order within Finland through Matkahuolto. Orders are only shipped on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding bank holidays). Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday.
Flat rate 10 euros – Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia
Flat rate 15 euros – Rest of the European Union
At the moment, next day and second day express shipments are not available.
Orders shipped via standard service are processed and shipped in 2-3 business days for in-stock items. After our processing & shipping, delivery takes between 2 to 7 days depending on the destination. However, in general, shipments to the European Union take from 3 to 5 business days, and shipments in Finland take 2-3 business days. Please kindly note that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes.
Please note that if you refuse delivery of the shipment, you are responsible for payment of all return shipping fees and any applicable fees, duties, and taxes; in this case, all such return shipping fees and any applicable fees, duties, and taxes will be billed to the method of payment you used. Shipping fees are not refundable for undeliverable shipments or refused shipments.
Additional fees: taxes, duties, customs
International Customers are responsible for any and all customs fees, taxes, tariffs, or duties levied by their respective government (the “Fees”). Any applicable fees, duties, and taxes is based upon the laws and regulations of the country to which the order is shipping; please be aware that these Fees will usually be collected by the shipping agency upon delivery. Please note that we are unable to fulfill any request to declare your package for any value other than the total value paid at checkout.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
How do I return or exchange a product?
Your satisfaction is important to us! We have a 14-day return policy. If you are not happy with your purchase, please let us know. Please note that all returns must be in great condition and product boxes unopened. Please also kindly note that transportation costs related to the return are the responsibility of the buyer. Faulty and broken items can be returned at the expense of MALIA.
PROMOTION CODES / DISCOUNTS
How do I use promotion codes or discounts?
The promo or discount code must be entered in the discount box at checkout to receive the current promotion or discount before placing the order. You must be logged into your account to apply the code to your order. Only one promo code per order and in some cases, promo codes can only be redeemed once per person. Promo codes and discounts cannot be added to an order after it has been placed. All promo codes are available for a limited time, while supplies last, cannot be used once expired, have no cash value or be applied to previous purchases.
